Num Pang With Grilled Beef and Pickled Papaya

This num pang sandwich is filled with 2 Cambodian classics — lemongrass beef sticks and spicy pickled papaya.

- 4 skewers Lemongrass beef sticks (½ pound of beef) You can get the lemongrass beef stick recipe here
- 1 cup Spicy papaya side dish You can find the papaya side dish recipe here
- 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp Cambodian spicy dipping sauce You can get the Cambodian spicy dipping sauce recipe here
- 2 leaves Lettuce you can use either green lettuce, romaine lettuce, or napa cabbage
- 1 Cucumber sliced lengthwise in quarters
- 1 stalk Green onions
- 2 Baguette (6-7 inches) - We've used other, similar types of bread when our local bakery was out of baguettes.
- Optional ingredients: long beans, white cabbage, red cabbage, red onions
Add the Cambodian spicy dipping sauce to the mayonnaise and mix together.
Slice the baguette in half lengthwise.
Spread the mayo onto both sides inside the baguette.
Place cucumbers, lettuce, and spring onions into the sandwich.
Remove beef from the skewers and add to the sandwich.
Add pickled papaya to the num pang sandwich.
